DO YOU MAKE CUSTOM OR BESPOKE HATS?

At Optimo, we pride ourselves on the dexterity and versatility of our workshop. We can combine elements of our collection in what we call mild customs at no extra charge.

We also offer bespoke customs. We can make just about any hat, in any color, you would like. This process, tailored precisely to your specifications, can take a few weeks to several months to perfect.

While we would be delighted to embark on this bespoke journey with you, we recommend starting by exploring our curated collection. Each hat in our collection is crafted with the same dedication to quality and style, and you may discover the perfect piece that resonates with your personal taste.

HOW LONG DOES A HAT USUALLY TAKE TO MAKE OR SERVICE?

Production time typically runs from four to six weeks, however November and December often have slightly extended wait times. Service times are similar.

Getting that perfect fit is both an art and a science. Finding that right size can sometimes prove quite difficult which is why we ensure all Optimo customers are properly fit before shipping your first order.

DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR A HAT FITTING?

All Optimo customers must be fit before your first order is shipped. No appointment is necessary for in-store fittings during normal store hours, but you can book an appointment for a virtual fitting by contacting us.

IS IT SAFE TO WEAR MY OPTIMO IN THE RAIN?

Yes, absolutely! Optimo hats are made of the highest quality materials and finished to perfection leaving them extremely durable to all types of weather.

High quality felt hats will handle rain and snow without problems, but it is important they are allowed time to dry naturally. Once indoors, gently shake or brush off any snow or rain, unsnap the brim and let it air dry naturally.

Straws are meant to provide shelter from sun and rain generally will not damage a fine straw. However, try to keep your straw away from downpours, as excessive moisture can disturb its shape and require restoration.

DO YOU SERVICE NON-OPTIMO HATS?

Unfortunately, we only service Optimo hats as each hat manufacturer has very specific techniques and equipment they use to bring each hat back to perfection. We recommend contacting the original manufacturer.

If your hat is pre-1950s, we may consider an exception. Please reach out to us.
